quiet and great location with free parking for guests. very very nice and excellent staff and attention to detail.

I keep coming back because it's the best! The staff is kind and helpful, they even gave me directions for dining during my first stay. It has everything I need - Internet, parking, airport shuttle, laundry, and more. Perfect for my city trips. No regrets!

We liked this place, it's nice. The staff is excellent, the breakfast is delicious and great. Having a dining area, a seating area, and a writing desk in our spotless room. The location of the hotel in Mannar is peaceful, really close to a restaurant and supermarket, the bus station and the center. They have good choice of meals to choose from, the food is good. Thanks for a PLEASANT stay, totally recommend.

The location was quiet and particularly good for exploring the residential area. the staff were very nice and fantastic all the time. - the room was big in size and spotless with a shower and bath sheets, which was cool.

As a bird enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover El Shaddai Homestay on the outskirts of town. Vimal, the perfect host, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. The home-cooked breakfast and dinner were simply delicious. Vimal even took me out early in the morning to witness the breathtaking sight of thousands of migrating flamingos. The area surrounding El Shaddai is a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 100 species spotted nearby. The clean and comfortable room, along with Vimal's hospitality and assistance with scooter rental, made this the best accommodation I experienced in Sri Lanka.

My wife and I liked being there. Everyone I met from the staff was really helpful. - My family room was a big size. - I had a private bathroom. - the location was good, very close to the center. - It was also so close to a quiet area and Sri Lanka and Mannar Island.

The location of the hotel is a bit further from the center, but it's easy to find a tuk-tuk for transportation. the host is extremely helpful and can assist with organizing trips and even renting bikes. the whole family is friendly and welcoming, offering cookies and water to their guests. the accommodation is clean and comfortable, with delicious home-cooked meals available. the host goes above and beyond, providing hot water in a thermos for morning coffee and even driving guests out early in the morning for birdwatching.

The house lacks air flow, so it can be a bit stuffy, but this can be resolved by switching to a room without air conditioning.

I had an amazing stay at Delightful Homestay in a quiet location on the edge of town. Vimal, the host, took great care of all my needs and requests. the breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, with home-cooked food that was the best. Vimal even helped me with hiring a scooter to get around the area. As a bird watcher, he went above and beyond by driving me out early in the morning to find the Flamingos. It was truly a sight to behold, with thousands of them migrating here in the winter. the whole area is fantastic for birdwatching, with over 100 bird species around Mannar and over 60 within 500m of the homestay. Highly recommended for its great value for money.

During our stay at El Shaddai, we were warmly welcomed by Vimal and his family. They made us feel right at home and ensured that we had a pleasant stay. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed and mosquito net. The bathroom was equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet. We also had the opportunity to rent a scooter and explore the island, which was a great convenience. In the evenings, we enjoyed delicious homemade meals prepared by Rosemary. The food was excellent and offered great value for money. Additionally, Vimal kindly shared some local recommendations with us.

The hosts at the villa were exceptional and went out of their way to ensure a great stay. They even upgraded our room for free and provided a fan to keep us cool. The villa itself is beautiful, with cozy living areas and porches where you can mingle with other guests. The food prepared by the host's wife was absolutely delicious. Additionally, they let us use their scooter, allowing us to explore the island with ease.

One drawback was the lack of air conditioning, but the fan provided did a good job of keeping the room comfortable for sleeping. Another downside was the presence of mosquitoes at night.

We had an amazing time at El Shaddai in Database. Vimal and his wife Rosemary were exceptional hosts, providing us with helpful travel advice, engaging conversations, and delicious meals. They even connected us with a local NGO, allowing us to gain valuable insights into the school system of Sri Lanka. Staying with Vimal and his family offered us a unique glimpse into local family life and the opportunity to learn about the history of the area. We highly recommend El Shaddai for its warm hospitality, informative guidance, and a memorable experience. Cons: Nothing to complain about.
